Best Story

Her(counselor): "How are you today?"
Me (adolescent me): "Fine"
Her (counselor): Cold stares in silence
Me (adolescent me): Silent
Her(counselor): "Okay, well, that was a good session today. You're doing good. See you in two weeks."

As an adolescent, I didn’t realize that counseling offered powerful tools to help people navigate life’s toughest adversities. Growing up in a household marked by trauma, I faced my challenges and needed the guidance of a professional.

Fast forward 30+ years, and now, as a counselor, my mission is to combine clinical expertise with warmth and compassion. I strive to be the catalyst for change, helping clients overcome life’s hardships with the support and techniques they seek

Origin Story

At just eight years old, I was asked my first question by two hurting people—individuals who, in theory, were seeking therapy from a third party. At the time, I didn’t fully grasp how that moment connected to my future career. But looking back, I see how life has a way of coming full circle.

When I applied to graduate school, I was unexpectedly transported back to that very sofa where I once sat, unknowingly stepping into my purpose. Now, 42 years later, I have had the privilege of serving countless clients—welcoming them onto the very sofas where healing begins.

My mission is to be a beacon of motivation, encouragement, and inspiration—an advocate for change for those who are hurting.
