Mom to Louisa and Jakob.
I first fell in love with video when I saw how my grandmother's personality and life story was portrayed in the vibrant medium. In early 2008, after receiving my MS degree from MIT, I assessed the input factors of video and saw that they were dropping by huge orders of magnitude: the cost of bandwidth, editing software, filming equipment, etc. The tides were turning in video’s favor, and I knew there was a business opportunity there. And so Pixability was born.
I am a repeat technology entrepreneur with extensive experience in building new organizations - including strategy, marketing, business planning, venture capital financing, operations and sales. Prior to Pixability, I co-founded the Swiss-based speech software specialist SVOX AG, which was sold to Nuance Communications (NUAN) for $125 million.
