Biography

Born and raised in Central Kentucky, I have a love for all things Kentucky! I started my career in human resources fresh out of college and was granted a once in a lifetime opportunity to be part of the Executive Team of a franchised Marriott hotel. This experience allowed me the opportunity to establish an HR function with little resources. As a team of one in HR, servicing a team of 150 plus, I learned firsthand the value that the function of HR plays into an operation. After being at the hotel nearly five years, I have taken my experience and passion to establish a fractional HR services firm that can help small to medium sized businesses establish an HR function that is of value to their organization.

Passion

People, organizational culture, leadership, HR as a strategic partner in an organization, business development, leadership coaching, young managers, managing through conversation.

Best Story

Aside from the collection of stories that I have working in HR, the most notable would have to be the process of building influence at such a young age... I was given a role that most people are provided in the middle of their careers. For some of my peers, this was a tough pill to swallow. Navigating the dynamics of this was a continuous learning experience.

Origin Story

For me, it was recognizing the impact that a sound HR function has on the team, which in turn promotes retention, and return. Process drives practice. Practice drives behavior. Behavior drives culture. Culture drives results. This realization developed a passion in me to help bring this to life for as many businesses as I have the privilege to work alongside.
