I am a proud "baby boomer" that loves to blend the best of the past with the blessings of the present and choose to embrace technology to enhance my impact to the world around me. I love to laugh; I enjoy connecting in person with live people without pretense and as humanly as possible. I love the ocean, lighthouses, Dr. Seuss and Jeopardy. My all-time favorite food is ice cream. I never pass up a chance to learn something new.
Moving people from overwhelmed to organized; helping people who struggle with hoarding behaviors and the people who love them. Helping people to get "unstufficated" brings me great joy!
I didn't know that my Mom was a hoarder until after I became a professional organizer. I grew up in a 2 bedroom, one bath home with my parents and 6 siblings. It was always crowded and we didn't know the difference. Once I learned more about organizing and Hoarding Disorder, I began to connect the dots and realize that my Mom meets the criteria for a low-level hoarder.
I was born organized; my Mom says that I sorted my toys in the playpen. My first paid job was in 5th grade helping my teacher to grade papers and stay organized. Every job that I had through high school and my adult years was organizing in some way. After my second divorce and getting passed over for promotions and advancement opportunities, I knew that I wanted to be my own boss. When I found out that there was a professional organization for organized people, I knew I had found my tribe. Twenty plus years later, I have found what I was born to do.
