I generally get paid for speaking but make exceptions
As a professional storyteller, I have many stories! I would share a story that's most relevant to the listeners in front of me. I have soooo many.
I'm the oldest child of teenage parents born in the 60s. My parents recognized and relied upon my natural leadership tendencies starting at a very young age. I have 6 younger siblings. Persuasion, negotiation, and creative problem-solving were my survival skills. I was always left in charge so I don't know how not to lead and not feel responsible for outcomes. Fortunately, I am in a career that capitalizes on these skills so my work is filled with purpose and joy.
