A company had three employees leave in one day. The owners recognized that the company culture needed to change. The owners became aware of their communication shortcomings. The coaching, communication training, and facilitation improved the company's intercommunication. The owners also elevated their communication. An employee thanked me and shared, "I don't know what you did, but I feel like they are hearing me."
I had a 360 evaluation completed. I believed I was a great director for an organization. My review of my 360 showed that I was not communicative, especially with my colleagues. The 360 evaluation and leadership training coincided with each other. I was a recipient of free coaching for a year. That led me to pursue my master's in public administration and a conflict resolution certification. I was fascinated with the process and the tools and saw how powerful active listening techniques were. I began to share the practice and turned it into a business supporting other businesses.
