My passion is watching the relief on my clients' faces as they get their dementia caregiving questions answered and see a path forward on their loved one's journey.
Inspiring and guiding caregivers is the driving force for me in helping individuals get their quality of life back. This includes having better relationships with family, friends, and work colleagues, and enjoy better mental and physical health.
Educated caregivers perform better at work as well. There is less absenteeism and there are fewer issues with being present and focused at work. My presentations provide implementable guidance to help build resilience, a healthier mindset, and better quality of life for those caring for our aging population.
More than 100 miles
I always get paid for speaking
I left my middle management job with the promise of promotion and increased income to move 2800 miles away to be near my parents to care for them starting in their early 70s. Adult children are making work decisions based on their parents' need for their help. My presentations focus on how businesses can support these employees so they can continue to focus and be productive while helping their aging parents.
My mother had Alzheimer's for 14 years. I wrote the Alzheimer's caregiving guide "It's Not That Simple: Helping Families Navigate the Alzheimer's Journey" to help adult children prepare and understand the impact of caregiving on their lives. My story is about dementia caregiving, but there are millions of employees caregiving for many different reasons. As more and more people read my book, they asked me to speak to businesses, organizations, caregivers, and senior healthcare professionals to help them understand the impact of caregiving.
