Passion

Helping people sell their ideas, their services, and themselves; helping product managers teach salespeople how to sell their products and services.

Best Story

When I was ten, my mother brought a down-on-her-luck stranger into our house. Mom had met Shirley outside the grocery store and started a conversation. Shirley told my mom about her recently deceased husband and his favorite dessert, yellow cake with chocolate frosting. Mom bought Shirley all the ingredients then had Shirley bake the cake in our kitchen. That story teaches the essential ingredients for how to connect with and influence people.

Origin Story

At the end my first boy scouts awards night, which was well past my bedtime, the scoutmaster announced, "And now I'd like to introduce our guest speaker." I rolled my eyes, wondering how I'd ever survive. Next thing I knew, it was thirty minutes later. The speaker was riveting. I hung on every word. At that moment, my life's mission became clear: how do we capture and hold an audience's attention, whether it's to inform, persuade, or entertain.
