I find my success when people I help succeed. I love when start-ups and non-profits succeed. I love working with the written and spoken word. I still tell a story about when a founder asked me how his presentation went and I said "good". He followed up with, "No really tell me". We worked together reordering and cleaning up his slide deck and verbal presentation and he got a contract in his very next meeting. I want to help others do just as well.
Want me to speak on your podcast? All you need to do is ask. That is something I will almost always do for free.
I also work hard to make my presentation interactive and getting people to laugh is a bonus for them and me!
More than 100 miles
I generally get paid for speaking but make exceptions
It's funny that I ended up in a world based on communications. When I was 4 my mother sent me to a summer camp program because I never talked to anyone! She was worried that I would have a problem in kindergarten because I was so shy. Well, I showed her! My whole life has revolved around communication and putting myself out there. Today is no different.
When I was 14, I was asked to work in a bead store where I shopped. (I sold macrame wall hangings for over sofas at 13 for $600 a piece.) I learned so many basic things including:
-how to fill out paperwork (I needed workpapers at that age)
-talking to people I didn't know
-teaching so others understand
-learning the customer was always right
-math skills
These are skills I still use today.
Have you gone to a networking events and collected real or virtual business cards. And now, is that pile just sitting on the corner of your desk?
Have you introduced yourself and people are busy looking for who else is in the room?

Learn strategies to make meaningful connections instead of just collecting names. This presentation takes you from just collecting a card to creating a meaningful relationships that last year-round.
I present this as a keynote or an interactive breakout/workshop with examples and participation from the attendees.
This is perfect for conference attendees who are meeting new people and then that goes nowhere. Let's make it work for you and your company.
Would you rather do anything else in the world besides getting up and speaking in public, or even in a small team meeting?
One of the favorite things people say about me is "You sound so conversational when you speak!" Usually followed by "How do you do it?"
This can be a presentation or workshop to help give people who know their stuff the best ways to share that knowledge with others.
Perfect for #startups, #teammembers and others wanting to project #authority
Sometimes we talk too much and sometimes we shy away from adding anything to a conversation. Learn skills and tips to get noticed for your contributions
Learn about composing a pitch deck so it is an addition to your presentation, not a replacement. This is an interactive program to allow people to become more comfortable speaking with technology, but not forget the message they are trying to get across.
