A corporate executive at a mid-market venture capitalist firm in Boston approached me because he wanted to learn more about “this LinkedIn thing.” I helped him optimize his LinkedIn profile and to become comfortable reaching out to people online. As a result, during a trip to Chicago, he was able to sit down with people who were eager to meet with him because of their online interactions. Now he has potential deals brewing in several major cities.

Origin Story

After a 25+ year career in high-tech I decided it was time to change. While I was interested in healthcare or education, I was looking for opportunities to connect in technology. Well those are the 2 worst industries for technology. In any event, somehow after a bit of arm twisting I ran for school board in my city (my entry into education). However, the thought of knocking on 90,000 doors was not particularly appealing. Enter Facebook! With a Facebook page and ads I a was able to create brand awareness from my doorstep. This led to my building an online presence for many other political campaigns, to finally deciding the best thing I could do was help other small to midsize businesses expand their online presence to drive greater brand awareness and consideration.
