Helping people leverage the power of content marketing, particularly, getting comfortable being on video. The truth is, the biggest problem most of my clients have, is getting out of their own way.
Up to 100 miles
Everything is negotiable
At the top of my favorite things is having someone tell me I inspired them to start creating videos. I'll never forget being at the airport on my way home from speaking at a conference when one of the people who attended my presentation came up and thanked me. He told me that instead of listening to a podcast, he downloaded one of the apps I mentioned and recorded his first video. While this happened a few years ago, each time I think of it, it makes me smile.
I started thinking about shifting my business from personal branding to content marketing over a year ago. I was attending a conference for resume writers, my first in-person conference since the pandemic.
Since I knew how powerful video could be moving that know, like, and trust factor forward, one of the things I did as the organization's membership chair was run a "video" contest in which members submitted videos talking about who they were, what they did, etc.
So many of my colleagues already associated me with video.
Over lunch at the conference, a colleague asked me how to create a "meet me" video. So, I spent a few minutes showing her how to download a free app on her phone, and I gave her a few techniques to record her video.
Since I love video, I was happy to help other friends and colleagues, too.
As people started asking me other things, like how to launch LinkedIn live shows and create social media graphics the idea for Black Dog Marketing Strategies was born.
Today, I help B2B, consultants, and entrepreneurs develop content marketing strategies to achieve sustainable online visibility and business growth.
Are you struggling to go beyond text-only posts on LinkedIn? Know you should be recording videos but don't know where to begin? It’s time to change that.
Learn how to create engaging content that will boost your visibility, attract potential clients, and enhance your standing as a thought leader on LinkedIn. It’s easier than you think to produce appealing content that will help you stand out.
In this session, Annette Richmond will teach you how to:
• Record videos without looking like you’re being held hostage
• Create popular document posts, known as Sliders, that drive engagement
• Use images to drive traffic to your website, online program, etc.
• Save time by batching content and scheduling your posts
• Add whimsy to your content with GIFs
LinkedIn is a big, noisy place. The key to standing out is sharing content that drives engagement. Creating that content – and actually having fun doing it – is easier than you think.
This program is designed for B2B professionals, consultants, and entrepreneurs who want to build their brand and reputation as thought leaders by hosting LinkedIn Live broadcasts. (It can also be adapted for podcasters.)

Are you trying to find new ways to attract potential clients? Aspire to be seen as a thought leader? Creating and hosting your own show can help you do both.
If video is the best way to move the know, like, and trust factor forward, LinkedIn Live broadcasts are the way to accelerate it. Hosting LinkedIn Lives gives you the opportunity to meet and build relationships with guests and engage with your audience in real-time.
In this session, Annette Richmond will teach you how to:
• Get started with LinkedIn Lives. Choosing the platform, format, and day/time that works for you.
• Choose topics and book guests for your show. Pros and cons of providing questions in advance.
• Set you and your guests up for success. Being prepared, but most of all, being yourself on camera.
