Best Story

I have so many stories I can share after living more than 40+ years as a black woman in America. I can talk about my upbringing, as the eldest of three raised in an economically marginalized, single-parent household. I have intimate knowledge of poverty, racism and generational trauma and can share stories of how the indigenous wisdom of my ancestors protected me from sabotage and hatred. Using my lived experience as the landscape, I can tell stories about mental illness, domestic violence, low self-worth and how these moments fortified in me the compassion to share with the world.
