GE Harris, a JV providing custom-developed IT solutions for the utility sector, was being sued by the government of Egypt. Their contract was necessary for our business to remain viable. I negotiated in-country with people who did not expect a woman at the table, did not expect any answers or commitments to be met. We mediated the contract, then rebuilt their faith in us resulting in a long-term services agreement and funding for new products.
