For much of my life, I believed that my story didn't matter. Growing up in a strict, conservative family and as an immigrant child in a society that didn't accept me, as well as being a woman in a man's world, all contributed to this belief. However, I've always been fascinated by other people's stories, and as a child, I loved interviewing people and learning about their backgrounds, families, and careers. But it wasn't until I shared my own story in an anthology with Dr. John Gray from Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus, that I realized the power of my own narrative. Through sharing my journey of overcoming a debilitating illness to become a successful mother, wife, and entrepreneur, I was able to inspire and give hope to countless other women who felt like their stories didn't matter. This helped me find my voice and my purpose.
Fueled by a desire to break free from fear of being seen, heard and known I started my current business Uplyft Media to help women share their stories and messages to reach their ideal clients. My mission is to create a revolution where anyone can create the life they desire despite their past, background or circumstances.
