Biography

Toni Guffei is an accomplished speaker, author and educator with an extensive track record as a marketing strategist working with and speaking to a range of business owners in North America. She has taken on a number of leadership roles from managing a consulting practice to directing the marketing for 13 airports. She offers a wealth of marketing expertise in both traditional and digital marketing.

After an 8 year career in transportation, Toni launched her own practice while teaching part-time to make ends meet. Currently, she successfully strategizes and implements marketing for growth businesses looking to accelerate their brand in global markets. She still teaches in post-secondary as it is a passion of hers to inspire up and coming entrepreneurs and marketers. As a plus, becoming an exceptional educator has been what launched her into a speaking career.

To date, she has spoken at many industry events and customized relevant digital marketing talks where attendees gain expert advice on what works in today’s online world.

A favorite speaking opportunity for Toni was when she was a main speaker at ExPat Talks in NYC. She energized the audience with a compelling talk about leading from the back seat based on her personal experience with motivating others to contribute in a team environment.

Toni has also been a guest speaker at a number of universities in the U.S. and has inspired students to feel confident in their marketing abilities by sharing her insightful strategies.

In 2020, her book entitled Digital Marketing Strategies was made available through Kendall Hunt, a U.S. based publisher. This book provides both students and entrepreneurs a well-structured approach to marketing in today’s ever-changing world.

Passion

As a subject matter expert, my passion is to inspire entrepreneurs and marketers to think beyond current limitations and see the potential in the digital world that can take a business to the next level.

Origin Story

I have followed my heart into a career that has lead me to speaking as an entrepreneur and marketing strategist. Starting with an undergrad degree in Economics where I discovered marketing is really based on supply and demand, to getting an MBA majoring in marketing, I have built my success by following my heart.

I have always chosen the path that motivates me to excel because it is what I love to do. That has lead me to my own consulting practice and sharing my experiences through speaking opportunities.

Writing a book about Digital Marketing Strategies came about as a logical step on my way to speaking to audiences about my original approach to marketing.

Example talks

Keynote Speaker: Building a Digital Marketing Framework for Measuring Success

Toni’s wrote the book “Digital Marketing Strategies,” published by Kendall Hunt. In it she defines how to build a framework to track digital marketing campaigns and initiatives. In this keynote speaker talk, she defined what goes into building an omni-channel approach and, most importantly, how stakeholders can assess leading tactics to ensure corporate goals are met. The audience included CEOs, CFOs, Marketing Directors and Entrepreneurs who gained a grasp of their marketing agency’s outcomes from this informative and insightful presentation. This online talk was followed by a hands-on workshop to start the process of developing one’s own digital marketing framework for their business.

HSMAI Los Angeles: Digital Basics Including SEM, SEO and Social Media for Hotels

Gave insights to The Hotel and Sales Marketing Association International (HSMAI) Los Angeles membership by sharing digital marketing tips and trends in the hospitality industry. Used a case study to demonstrate the relevance of an omni-channel approach to capture and retain customers in a competitive industry.

BNI National Conference: Using Data to Get a Competitive Advantage

Spoke to an audience of thousands of Business Network International (BNI) attendees to provide an understanding of how to collect data to make smart marketing decisions. This included how to use data when testing results to optimizing a marketing budget. Key highlight: stories about market insights, industry positioning and business intelligence derived from data to give a business the advantage over their competition.

EMCEE for Resource YYC Panel: What’s Hot in Content Marketing

Lead a panel of experts in the fields of videography, podcasting and copywriting in an engaging talk about the latest trends in content development and management. Incorporated stories about applying content in different situations and motivated the audience to engage in a Q & A with panelists.

Long Island University Guest Speaker for Graduating MBAs

Shared my experiences after acquiring an MBA to getting into consulting for small and larger businesses. Discussed why a business would hire a consultant, what it takes in terms of confidence and skillset, and how to launch a profitable practice of their own – based on my path from student to successful business owner.
