Biography

I spent the first 15 years of my career working in the nonprofit sector. It was there that I learned the value of relationships, community and the power of an amazing network. I took these principles and applied them to my approach to LinkedIn - focusing on these key components of building trust and credibility. If you want to automate your LinkedIn messaging or use engagement pods to boost your post views, well…I’m not the girl for you.

I help companies leverage their team to powerfully position their brand messaging on LinkedIn to attract the best talent, connect organically with ideal clients, and stand out as a leader in their industry.

I also guide professionals on developing a personal LinkedIn strategy to support their business goals.

Best Story

I am very community-focused, thanks to the years I spent in the nonprofit world but more importantly, from my father, Lew. My dad was a big influence on me and taught me so much about relationships and the power of community. I love to share "Lew's Lessons" on community to make real-world connections to digital concepts.

Origin Story

My first client when I moved from nonprofit to marketing consulting hired me to do email marketing (despite not really being an email marketer). They wanted to include a call to action in an upcoming email to connect with their CEO on LinkedIn. He was very well-established in his field but had 12 (!!!) LinkedIn connections. I politely recommended that we might want to help him build up his LinkedIn network a little before making the ask.

I started to support his strategy through connections, content and messaging and within the first year, the company had 8 new clients thanks to LinkedIn. A lightbulb went off that there was something very powerful here and I started working with other clients on their LinkedIn strategy.

In 2018, I launched Connect the Dots Digital and fully focus on LinkedIn now (no more email marketing for me!). My services and strategies have changed over the years but what has remained steady is the incredible opportunity that LinkedIn has to build brand awareness, thought leadership and new business.
