A client was doing bookkeeping manually and taking 2 days to generate their A/R aging report (a list of people who owed money at the end of every month). We implemented Sage 50, trained the users on how to use the software and now it takes him 1 minute to generate a report to tell him who owes him money, plus he can run it at any time, for any time period. Saved him practically 2 days of work!
Origin Story
Started out setting up an accounting program for my neighbor's hobby. After year's of being an accountant, I was asked to head of a committee of choosing an new accounting software program for our company. I loved the planning meetings, the demos of the software vendors, the selection, training and implementation of at product. I knew that is what i wanted to do some day.
