Biography

Kristine is a Reinvention Expert, working with solo entrepreneurs and small businesses to reinvent the way they approach business – and life!

She’s reinvented herself more than once - working with music, travel, wine, and for 20+ years in her own business as a speaker, facilitator, coach, and writer. She loves helping people navigate the reinventions that business and life demand, and reimagine what’s possible.

When not working, Kristine debates Star Trek vs. Star Wars with her dog, Finch, while they listen to Miles Davis’ Kind of Blue for the fourth time on repeat.

Kristine truly believes that reinvention is possible, and looks forward to working with you to achieve yours.

Passion

There are several things I love talking about:
Reinvention. Super Powers. Business.
And, of course, the eternal debate of Star Wars vs. Star Trek. I mean really, how are you supposed to choose between the two?

In the 20+ years I’ve been in business, it’s been my job to help people reinvent themselves and their approach to work, encouraging them to dream bigger and learn about their strengths and superpowers so they can create more of the business magic that serves us all.

If you’re interested in talking about what’s right with people, and how running your own business contributes to us all, I look forward to getting the conversation started!

Best Story

One of my favorite times on stage was at the Uniglobe Travel Center Conference, held at the Mall of America in the JW Marriott. The hotel and event setup was lovely, and there was a professional and comfortable atmosphere.

I was delivering the keynote, where I talked about partnering with your business for greater success. During the presentation, I talked about how I got started in my business, and included a picture of me from college, one my roommate had snapped went I wasn't looking.

In the picture, I was reading a book on the floor in the hallway of our house. I pondered the mystery of how that shy, introverted person became someone who could run her own business and stand on a stage, sharing her story with hundreds of people.

As I spoke, tears welled up in my eyes, and I noticed many eyes in the audience were misty, too. We shared a moment, feeling the magnitude of what we’d each created for ourselves and marveling at how far we'd come, all because we’d dared to dream and then go for it.

It’s something I'll never forget.

Origin Story

This is how I got started in speaking.

When I was the Northern California Sales Manager for a prominent Napa Valley Winery, I was asked to give a presentation to a sales team of 200 people. This team sold wine to the top restaurants and retailers in San Francisco; they were successful and driven, and expected something good from our time together. I definitely wasn't a "speaker" at that point – in fact, I’d never done anything like that in my life – and I was terrified.

When the day came, I put on a suit and headed off to the event (no one else was wearing a suit, BTW, which made me feel even more self-conscious). I was the last presenter at a day-long event, and by the time I got into the room, the team was restless and ready to wrap things up.

From that point on, everything's a blur. I’m sure I said some nice things about the winery, and how I appreciated them selling our wine, and if they could sell more it would be real swell... but truthfully, it was all I could do to not pass out. I was shaking so hard that if I hadn’t been clutching the podium, I would’ve fallen over, and I spoke so fast that my 20-minute slot went by in little more than five. I thanked everybody, and because we’d finished so quickly, they jumped to their feet and gave me a standing ovation.

Afterward, as I tried to catch my breath in the hallway, I was amazed that the entire experience hadn’t killed me. Quite the opposite; it had gotten me curious about what it would be like to do something like that and not be terrified. Little did I know then that I was on to something...
