Biography

Heather Tolley-Bauer is a kick-butt wife, stay-at-home mom, colorectal-cancer survivor, speaker, and stand-up comedian. Before finding her calling in comedy, Heather was a stand-out corporate executive and entrepreneur, as Vice President and Public Relations Director for Citizens Bank, and the founder of Done on the Run, LLC - a public relations consulting and event planning company.

With over 20 years of experience under her belt, Heather now combines her expertise in comedy, event planning, and corporate communications and leadership to create a custom-tailored, unforgettable comedy experience for her clients. Her signature style, known as "Comedy Fit to a Tee-Hee," has garnered rave reviews from companies and organizations like: The Home Depot, Equifax, WR Berkley, Annandale Village. She also spoke at Samsung Ads National Sales Conference.

Heather's speaking engagements are equally impactful, because she cracks jokes drawn from her personal experience as a colorectal cancer survivor to deliver a powerful message about the healing power of laughter. Her humor is refreshingly candid, baring all about her journey and reminding audiences that, “Yes, life is hard, but laughter helps”.

Passion

My passion is to give women a laugh-break from the laundry list of things that keep us up at night...including the laundry itself…you know, that pile of dirty clothes that's getting so tall you can cancel your ski trip, book yourself a stay-cation in your laundry room and ski Mt. Dirty Clothes, instead. And to remind moms and women to be kind to themselves and each other, that we are enough and that laughing at the small stuff gives us the bandwidth to tackle the tough stuff.

That’s because I’m a wife, mom, stand-up comic and cancer survivor who knows first-hand that humor heals, laughter helps in business and in life and telling our stories matters.
