Best Story

My burnout story ~ I still recall the intense anxiety that I felt as I turned into the driveway of my office. My body literally said, "no more". I'd spent two years so dedicated to a project that it consumed all of me. Yes, I went to yoga but all of the energy that came with the relief was consumed by my work. I lost track of what the work meant to me and what I meant to the work. So when my body blew the whistle so loudly that I couldn't ignore it, I took a leave of absence. The recovery process led me to reclaim the power of my purpose and put me on a path to honoring my own voice. I learned how to see my value beyond the contributions that I make in my work. Most importantly, I learned that the impact I want to make begins inside me. My vision and purpose drive this impact. I committed to creating a daily rhythm that works to give me the power to bring my best to what matters most to me, to fuel my purpose. My experience with burnout grew into Life in 4-Part Harmony, an energy management system to prevent and recover from burnout and advance purpose-driven leadership.

Origin Story

Throughout my life, I've been drawn to teachings and philosophies that help cultivate compassion and living with deep meaning and purpose. I've always been someone that people seemed comfortable talking with, confiding in, trusting. I grew up with role models who had these same qualities as well as a commitment to community building and sharing their talents to make the world a better place. So, becoming a psychologist was a natural evolution. My business grew out of my commitment to creating space for people to embrace their purpose and fall in love with the infinite ways they bring good into our world as well as witnessing the obstacles that challenge our ability to be our whole self. I see my work as my contribution to a harmonious world where all beings thrive.
