Terry Beltrán is a multicultural growth strategist, brand clarity advisor, speaker, and former corporate marketing leader who helps organizations uncover overlooked growth opportunities by connecting culture, customer insight, brand strategy, and customer experience.
Her career spans broadcasting, corporate marketing, advertising, digital, and customer experience, with experience at organizations including PBS, ABC, Univision, Delphi, General Motors, and OnStar. In addition to automotive, Terry has advised and consulted across service businesses, beverage, retail, healthcare, and other consumer-facing sectors.
She is known for helping leaders move multicultural growth from a separate initiative into a more integrated business strategy, while also helping founders and entrepreneurs gain clarity in their positioning, messaging, and brand strategy so their marketing can work more effectively.
Terry brings a practical, cross-functional perspective to the stage, combining corporate leadership, multicultural market strategy, brand clarity, and real-world customer experience to help audiences identify gaps, see opportunities differently, and take action.
Terry is passionate about helping leaders and entrepreneurs uncover overlooked opportunities and build trust through culture, customer insight, and brand clarity.
She is especially passionate about helping organizations better understand and serve multicultural consumers, not as a separate initiative, but as an integral part of business and brand strategy. Her work focuses on uncovering gaps in customer experience, products, services, messaging, and internal alignment that can prevent brands from fully connecting with the communities they want to reach.
Terry is equally passionate about helping founders gain clarity in their positioning, messaging, and brand strategy so they can communicate their value with greater confidence and build brands that are easier to understand, trust, and choose.
At the heart of her work is a belief that meaningful growth happens when brands understand who they serve, align what they promise with what customers actually experience, and act with intention.
Terry began her career in broadcasting, working with PBS, ABC, and Univision, where she learned early how powerful stories, culture, and representation can be in shaping how people connect with a brand.
Her career later moved into corporate marketing and leadership at Delphi, General Motors, and OnStar, where she worked across advertising, digital, customer experience, communications, and multicultural strategy.
Throughout those roles, Terry repeatedly saw the same challenge: companies often had strong products and good intentions, but gaps between leadership, marketing, culture, and the actual customer experience prevented the brand promise from reaching everyone equally.
Those experiences shaped the work she does today. Terry now helps organizations uncover overlooked multicultural growth opportunities and helps founders gain greater clarity in their positioning, messaging, and brand strategy.
Her work is grounded in one question: What opportunity are we missing because we have not looked at the customer, culture, or brand experience differently?
One of Terry’s most meaningful career experiences came while working with OnStar. She recognized that reaching Spanish-preferred customers required much more than translating advertising. If the brand promised safety, security, and peace of mind, that promise had to work throughout the entire customer experience.
Terry began looking beyond the marketing message and identified gaps in how Spanish-speaking customers could access and experience the service. Her work helped drive a more integrated approach that included Spanish-language customer support, communications, and other elements of the customer journey.
The experience reinforced a lesson that continues to shape her work today: multicultural strategy cannot live only in marketing. The organization, product, service, customer experience, and communications all have to support the same promise.
That is the perspective Terry now brings to corporate audiences: sometimes the biggest multicultural growth opportunity is not another campaign. It is finding where the experience itself needs to change.
Best for: Corporate leaders, marketing and brand teams, ERGs, customer experience teams, organizations planning Hispanic Heritage Month programming, and companies seeking stronger connections with Hispanic consumers.
Hispanic Heritage Month creates an important moment for recognition, education, and celebration. But meaningful customer relationships cannot begin in September and disappear in October.
In this timely session, Terry helps organizations move beyond seasonal campaigns and explore how Hispanic customer insights can influence year-round brand strategy, customer experience, products, services, communications, community engagement, and growth.
Rather than treating the Hispanic market as a single audience, Terry helps participants recognize the diversity within Hispanic communities and consider how differences in language, generation, culture, geography, and lived experience can shape customer expectations.
Audience takeaways:
Event planner benefit: A Hispanic Heritage Month program that celebrates culture while also giving leaders a substantive business conversation they can continue throughout the year.
Best for: Founders, entrepreneurs, women business owners, small business communities, accelerators, supplier diversity programs, and professional associations.
Many founders believe they need more visibility, more social media, or more marketing when the real problem is often a lack of clarity. If people cannot quickly understand who you help, what makes you different, and why your business matters, even great marketing can struggle to convert attention into opportunity.
In this interactive session, Terry helps founders strengthen the foundation of their brand so the right customers understand their value, potential partners recognize the fit, and opportunities become easier to identify and pursue.
Audience takeaways:
Event planner benefit: Participants do not simply leave inspired. They leave with clearer language and practical improvements they can immediately apply to their businesses.
Best for: Corporate leaders, CMOs, marketing teams, customer experience leaders, ERGs, supplier diversity teams, and organizations serving increasingly diverse customers.
Multicultural consumers are often treated as a separate marketing initiative when they should be considered part of the organization’s broader growth strategy. In this keynote, Terry Beltrán helps leaders identify where culture, customer insight, brand strategy, internal alignment, and customer experience may be disconnected, creating missed opportunities for relevance, trust, and growth.
Drawing on her experience across corporate marketing, multicultural strategy, customer experience, broadcasting, and brand leadership, Terry challenges audiences to look beyond campaigns and ask a bigger question: Where is the organization unintentionally making it harder for customers to connect with the brand?
Audience takeaways:
Event planner benefit: A strategic, business-focused session that moves the multicultural conversation beyond awareness and into actionable growth opportunities.
