Biography

Dr. Jeannine Bennett is a leadership strategist, executive coach, keynote speaker, author, and founder and CEO of Vision to Purpose, LLC. With more than 30 years of experience spanning government, organizational leadership, consulting, and higher education, she helps leaders and professionals navigate change, embrace new possibilities, and turn vision into meaningful action.

Her career includes advising senior military leadership, supporting government organizations, teaching graduate and doctoral students, and guiding executives and military professionals through significant career transitions. Today, her work also focuses on preparing leaders and organizations for the human side of artificial intelligence and the changing workplace.

But Jeannine's perspective on resilience and leadership extends beyond professional experience. A teenage mother and survivor of domestic violence, she began college at 26 and ultimately earned her Ph.D. Her personal journey inspired her book, Broken to Beautiful: Brokenness Is Not the End of Your Story, and reinforced her belief that where someone begins does not determine where they can go.

Through compelling storytelling, practical leadership insights, and a genuine passion for helping others succeed, Dr. Bennett encourages audiences to lead with purpose, navigate uncertainty, and recognize that their next chapter may be their most meaningful yet.

She also serves as a university professor, doctoral research chair, and host of the television show Job Hunt Virginia.

Passion

I am passionate about helping people see possibilities where they once saw limitations. I know what it means to begin again, overcome adversity, and pursue a future that once seemed out of reach.

Whether I'm speaking to women navigating personal challenges, leaders guiding organizations through change, military professionals starting new careers, or executives preparing their workforce for AI, my purpose is the same: to help people recognize their potential and take meaningful steps forward.

My faith, life experiences, and professional journey have taught me that our circumstances may shape us, but they do not have to define us. I want audiences to leave not only encouraged but equipped to turn their vision into action.

Best Story

From Broken to Beautiful: My Beginning Did Not Determine My Destination

I grew up in a home marked by domestic violence. I experienced profound trauma, became a teenage mother, and later survived two abusive marriages. Some seasons, the future I hoped for felt far beyond my reach.

At 26, I enrolled in college. It was one decision that opened the door to opportunities I could never have imagined as a young mother.

I went on to earn an MBA and a Ph.D., build a career supporting government and senior military leadership, become a university professor and author, and establish Vision to Purpose.

But the path wasn't a straight line. Along the way, my family faced loss, serious health challenges, and unexpected difficulties that required faith, perseverance, and the courage to keep moving forward.

My story became the foundation for my book, Broken to Beautiful: Brokenness Is Not the End of Your Story.

When I share this journey, my goal is not simply to tell audiences what I've overcome. It's to help them recognize what may still be possible in their own lives.

Because where you begin does not have to determine where you finish. And brokenness is never the end of the story.

Origin Story

Throughout my career, I noticed something that stayed with me. Highly capable people often struggle to see the value of their own experiences, especially when facing significant change.

I saw it in military leaders transitioning to civilian careers, professionals navigating uncertainty, and individuals who had accomplished remarkable things but couldn't clearly articulate their next step.

After years working in government, consulting, and higher education, I founded Vision to Purpose to help people translate their experience, strengths, and aspirations into meaningful opportunities.

My own journey of personal and professional reinvention shaped that mission. Having experienced adversity, pursued higher education later than many of my peers, and navigated major transitions, I understood how important it was to believe that another chapter was possible.

Over time, my work expanded from career strategy into leadership development, executive coaching, and AI workforce strategy. The common thread has always been people and their ability to navigate change.

Today, I speak because I want to combine personal experience with practical insight that helps audiences do more than feel inspired. I want them to leave with greater clarity, confidence, and a meaningful next step.
