Biography

Jade Davila helps organizations bring AI into product development without losing
the human at the center of it. Over more than fifteen years of enterprise UX
practice, she has designed and shipped complex products in some of the most
demanding, high-stakes domains: healthcare systems for Mayo Clinic and Roche,
aerospace tools for Boeing, and platforms for Thermo Fisher, Harvard, and Aetna.
Today her work sits at the intersection of design leadership and agentic AI. She holds an MIT Executive Education certificate in Applied Agentic AI, leads a Design Center of Excellence for a global software services firm, and co-founded Aurica, an AI-augmented product development studio built around a proprietary multi-perspective council methodology. She speaks from the practitioner's seat: someone who builds with these tools daily and translates what actually works for teams, executives, and organizations navigating the shift.

Passion

Watching someone go from idea to working product when that path used to be closed to them. Sometimes that's a product designer using AI hands-on for the first time, showing up a week later with a working prototype instead of a handoff deck, their whole sense of what they're capable of transformed. Sometimes it's an early-stage founder who finally gets to execute on the idea they've been carrying around, without needing a technical co-founder or a funding round first. The gap between having a vision and building it has collapsed, and I love standing at that gap and pulling people across it. What keeps it interesting is the second half of the work: making sure human judgment, taste, and care stay at the center as the tools get more capable.

Best Story

On a Tuesday at midnight, our CEO forwarded me an email with nothing but a PRD from the Boston Globe. No kickoff, no discovery phase, no design brief. On Friday I walked into the call with a working prototype of the Globe Santa donation application and editorial queue, built with my AI-augmented practice. The Globe's engineering lead told me it was the best prototype he had ever seen. They signed within two days, and the thing I designed was live in production two weeks later. Midnight PRD to shipped product in under three weeks. That is the speed this new way of working makes possible, and it is what I teach other designers to do.

Origin Story

I spent fifteen-plus years doing enterprise UX in high-stakes domains: healthcare for Mayo Clinic and Roche, aerospace for Boeing, fintech, and more. For most of that time, design meant handing off artifacts and hoping the build honored the intent. When agentic AI arrived, I went deep, earning an MIT Executive Education certificate in Applied Agentic AI and rebuilding my entire practice around working directly with AI collaborators. Along the way I developed a council methodology, a structured set of AI perspectives that challenge and sharpen the work the way a great team would. The a-ha moment was realizing one designer with this approach could do what used to take a studio. That became Aurica, the AI-augmented product development studio I co-founded, and the foundation for how I now lead a Design Center of Excellence and teach other designers to make the same leap.
