Biography

I've spent 15+ years across three continents training, coaching, and leading programs at Netflix, Lucasfilm, and Aardman Animations. Long before I called myself a speaker, I was already doing the work of one: for years, I spoke directly to university students, encouraging the next generation into film and visual effects careers, while personally coaching artists and leaders on the public-speaking techniques they needed before stepping in front of press, panels, and audiences of their own. I took professionals with no formal training background and turned them into confident facilitators — building train-the-trainer programs equipping people to teach others, multiplying her reach.

That instinct — that people just need the right tool handed to them at the right moment — is backed by more than experience. I hold a Master's in Learning & Teaching from the University of Roehampton, am an ICF-certified NLP coach, and am a Certified Customer Success Coach — credentials I've spent years applying to help people move from uncertainty to action.

My perspective was shaped long before my career. A third culture kid, I grew up between the UK and Egypt, then built a life in Singapore and now in Los Angeles, so I have lived on four continents. Moving between cultures taught me to listen closely, adapt quickly, and find common ground with almost anyone. I am happiest in rooms full of different voices, backgrounds, and points of view. One of four sisters, including a twin, and now a single mom building my own career, I know that hard moments and hard decisions don't wait for a convenient time.

Outside of work, you'll find Fifi at the microphone, learning voice acting one joyful take at a time, or looking after her health so she can be fully present for her son. Being a mum is the role she treasures most. It's hard and beautiful in equal measure, and it teaches her growth, patience, empathy, and perspective every day. Rounding out the little family is 'Peatrix', her toy poodle, a pandemic pup who is impossibly adorable and an extremely picky eater. He is very much in charge.

All of it led to her signature talk, "Be the Architect, not the passenger," and its framework, ™ Feel. Defuse. Act., which grew out of her own experience rebuilding self-worth through hardship, career reinvention, and international upheaval. Fifi gives audiences a practice: allow yourself to feel the heavy moments, be kind to yourself and rewrite the story, then act — or don't — but be deliberate about it.

Passion

I'm passionate about helping people stop feeling like passengers in their own lives. Most of us were never taught how to handle hard emotions. We either bottle them up or get stuck in them. I love giving people a simple, practical tool: Feel. Defuse. Act. This helps turn emotions like fear, anger, and sadness into useful signals. When someone realizes their hardest emotions are pointing to something true they want to address, that's the moment I live for.

Best Story

Growing up with a mother who walked out when I was 12 and a father who was never really there, I learned early that if I needed something, I'd have to provide it myself. So I did. I became capable, independent, the rock for my sisters, and later a high achiever in every room I walked into. Psychologists have names for this: compulsive self-reliance, parentification, emotional neglect.

I just called it being strong. What I didn't realize was that I'd stopped feeling along the way, and it showed up as distance in my relationships and a quiet belief that I always had to be more. Finding my way back meant learning, as an adult, what no one taught me as a child: how to name what I feel, how to question the story I'd built to survive, and how to act from my own values instead of fear. That became Feel. Defuse. Act.

Origin Story

I spent my first nine years in England. Then my family moved to Egypt. I didn't speak the language, didn't share my classmates' experiences, and felt like an outsider for years. Life at home wasn't easy either. I learned early that hardship doesn't get to define you or excuse you from being your best.

It wasn't until adulthood that I learned to let myself feel hard things, work on defusing the feelings, and focus on how I was going to address what they actually translated to for me.

After 15+ years of training and coaching people at companies like Lucasfilm and Netflix, I turned that personal practice into a framework others can use.
