Ellia Harris is a stroke survivor, TEDx speaker, and corporate trainer with over 20 years’ experience. In her talk “What I Wish I’d Known - A Stroke Survivor’s Guide to Prevention”, Ellia delivers actionable, life-saving information wrapped in a story that people will remember so that they can help themselves and their loved ones avoid the same catastrophic effects of stroke that she experienced.
Ellia has extensive nonprofit leadership experience in the US and the UK, including at the Alzheimer’s Association, The Arc, British Lung Foundation, and Oxfam. She has a bachelor’s degree in secondary education, and a certificate in business management. She has also been a provider of training and coaching in leadership and team-based creative problem-solving, an English teacher in Mexico, and a touring blues band leader in the UK.
