Biography

Daniela Çako Field is an impact investor, technical advisor, and enablement leader with over 15 years of experience building the systems and people that scale go-to-market and technical organizations across Fortune 500 companies, high-growth startups, and mission-driven ventures.

Daniela currently serves as Head of Growth & Business Development at Vimedra, a healthcare AI company building Phoebe, a Voice AI patient navigator that helps community health centers re-engage patients lost to care. She is also a Limited Partner at Swizzle Ventures, which funds and grows startups empowering women through pivotal life stages at the intersection of care, health, and wealth. Her career includes technical sales enablement leadership roles at Instabase and Mendix (acquired by Siemens), where she built first-of-their-kind training programs that drove double-digit gains in sales confidence and win rates across North America, EMEA, and APAC, and was crucial in growing Mendix's higher education partner network from 17 to over 100 universities in a single year.

An MIT graduate in Mathematics with Computer Science and minor in Applied International Studies, a Quantic School of Business Executive MBA, Daniela has taught at the intersection of technology, business, and education for two decades — as a lecturer for MIT's low-code development course, a guest lecturer at more than 50 universities, and a research collaborator whose work has been published and presented at conferences including AMCIS and the EDSIG. She is fluent in Albanian, Italian, and English, with working proficiency in German, French, and Spanish.

Daniela speaks on go-to-market strategy, technical enablement, impact investing, healthcare AI, and building scalable growth and learning programs inside fast-moving organizations.

Passion

A born educator, Daniela has spent two decades in the classroom in one form or another — from tutoring low-income high school students through MIT's Educational Studies Program, to lecturing at MIT itself, to guest lecturing at more than 50 universities around the world. What energizes her most is watching someone go from uncertain to capable, whether that's a first-generation college applicant, a sales rep learning a new platform, or a founder finding product-market fit.

Travel and language are woven into her identity as much as her work. Fluent in Albanian, Italian, and English, with working knowledge of German, French, and Spanish, Daniela channels her love of exploring new places and cultures into TTT (TechTeachTravel), where she advises small businesses at the intersection of technology, marketing, and storytelling. Her Albanian heritage remains a deep personal touchstone, and has provided her with a unique world view and perspective.

More recently, that same drive to teach and empower has extended into impact investing — as an LP at Swizzle Ventures, she's focused on backing founders building for women's health, care, and financial wellbeing, and as a graduate of the Center for Sustainable Finance and Private Wealth's program, she's deepening her own expertise in using capital as a force for good.

In addition, Daniela is a huge advocate for PAID parental leave. She has changed company policies AND lobbied for changing the policy in the state of MA. Daniela has created a simple lovable app to educate parents on the state-by-state policies and what you can do to change your state's policy https://advocate-for-all.lovable.app/where-you-stand

Best Story

Depends on the event.

Origin Story

Daniela was born in Albania during the fall of the communist regime — the world around her unraveling and reforming at the same time she was learning to walk and talk. She grew up watching her country transition from anarchy to democracy, an upbringing that taught her early on how to adapt, how to find stability in chaos, and how to see change not as something to fear, but as something to navigate.

At 12 her family move to the US and four years later, at 16, she was accepted into MIT where she majored in Mathematics with Computer Science with a minor in Applied International Studies. It was at MIT that she got her first real, hardcore exposure to coding, staying up late in labs debugging problem sets, and it was there that two passions took hold of her that have shaped her career and life: technology and travel.

Since graduating, Daniela has spent her career as a technology consultant and enablement leader, building and scaling solutions across finance, insurance, logistics, education, and healthcare. Every industry taught her something different, but the through line has always been the same: taking complexity — whether it's a new platform, a new market, or a new way of working — and making it accessible to the people who need it.

Looking back, growing up in a country rebuilding itself from the ground up gave her a comfort with uncertainty that's served her well in every startup, every new market, and every "first of its kind" program she's built since.
