I’m Barri Vazquez-Muhs. Author, grief and death educator, public speaker, funeral service intern, and creator of Mortuary Millennial Mom. A platform dedicated to making conversations about death, grief, funeral service, and intentional living more approachable. My work exists at the intersection of death care and everyday life.
Through my work in funeral service, my background in ministry, my writing, and my experiences as a mother, I’ve learned that talking about death isn’t simply about preparing for the end. It’s about understanding what matters while we’re still here.
I speak about grief, death education, funeral service, end-of-life conversations, and the ways our awareness of mortality can change the way we love, communicate, prepare, and live.
My goal is simple: To help people have the conversations they hope they’ll never need so when life changes, love speaks louder than uncertainty.
My book “What To Do When Someone Dies: a compassionate guide for families” is available on Amazon
